|Project||Metro station under construction in Bangkok|
|Location||2016 - Bangkok, Thailand|
Massive amounts of water unexpectedly flooded a metro station under construction. The target of the investigation was to find out whether any vertical inflows were present along the joints of the diaphragm wall and/or any vertical inflows through the natural bottom (clay).
The measuring area was partly flooded. So in these segments, the sensors were lowered from metal crossbeams into the water on the sand surface.
The measurements showed that the diaphragm walls were watertight, and that only a few small seepages occurred at some joints. However, TEXPLOR detected water inflows below and vertically at certain walls and inflows through the clay layer itself.
